Frequently Asked Questions

What does the website name "TandJ" mean? Top
I wanted a name for the website that might be easily remembered but actually have no particular meaning. Since the website is initially mine, I thought I use my initials: "T" and "J".

I know... the pun isn't a great one, but I hope the name works. Another way to think of or remember "TandJ" is "Ted and my wife, Joan".

JOIN - What would be an advantage of my Joining the website? Top
You would establish an identity on the website. Once established, I can give you various permissions and a blank "Home Page" that you could the use to begin shaping. You could then also add numerous other subsections under your name with your home page and each subsection page having unlimited additional pages listed in the right column. To enhance the look of the pages, I'll enable you to upload photos and images that can be included on the pages you create in your "website".

JOIN - HOW do I join the website? Top
You can click the "Join Us" button on the top right corner of the page. Follow the instructions. Think of a "User Name" to identify yourself (you could use your name or nickname) and "Password". Both need to be remembered for future log-in.

When I receive the registration, I will send you a welcome email message plus a message from TandJ Home Pages that will contain a link to confirm your email address. You will need to click the link to complete the registration.

JOIN - What if I haven't received a response email from my registration? Top
Two things to consider.

One: I've noticed that messages from TandJ Home Pages can easily wind up in your email Junk Filter. You may need to look there. You might want to change the filter to let future messages go through.

Two: I actually need to process all registrations and I may not have been able to do so yet. Feel free to contact me, Ted Johanson, through the "Contact Us" button under "About TandJ.org". I'll try to check for new registrations regularly enough to avoid delays.

HOME PAGE - Will I really be able to create my own homepage and make other webpages on TandJ.org? Top
YES... in fact, that is why I have decided to purchase the site. I desire to make it available to individuals and organizations for their own purposes. If you let me know and we have a chance to talk about it, I can establish for you your very own "Home Page" that YOU can design and change.

From there, you can create what are called "sub-pages" that are listed in the right column of your home page. You can also create "sub-section" pages that will be listed in the left column right under the name of your Home Page. AND... for each sub-section page you create you can also create plenty of sub-pages that are listed on the right.

Are you catching on to how large of a website you can create? Let me know if you have an interest in getting started.

How can people find my "Home Page" and other pages that I might build on TandJ.org? Top
Well, there are a number of ways you could do this.

You refer them to TandJ.org and have them follow the top navigation process...
Hover on: TandJ.org Home Pages
Click: Individuals (if you are listed as an individual)
Click your Home Page name in the left column.

You could send an email to people with a working link that draws them to your home page.

You could obtain your own domain name and create a basic page that one could use to link right to your TandJ.org Home Page. Other options are available to help people find your webpage area.

Will I have enough skill to create a home page and other pages? Top
If you have been able to learn how to use a word processing program, such as Word or Wordperfect, you should be able to manage learning how to use this web system. I can help you learn with some personal orientation (this works well with some phone coaching while you sit at your home computer), some resources and instructions that are provided in Truewell's Support Center, and a "How To" section I am going to create soon on THIS website.

Can I create webpages that do NOT have the header and top navigation buttons? Top
Yes, this is possible. In fact, one can create a whole "website" of pages that interconnect and look however you set them up. Using the "code" page template, one begins with a completely blank space. The trick on this approach is that one needs some familiarity in how to use HTML code. I'm learning some techniques on how to use other easy page template to create the needed code for a "code-only" page. Just ask (Admin).
